The possibility of accountability

“What if accountability wasn’t scary? What if our own accountability wasn’t something we ran from, but something we ran towards and desired, appreciated, held as sacred?”

I love this quote from Mia Mingus. Such a powerful reframe for how we might think about our own accountability practice - as organizational leaders, as change agents, as humans. Making this shift requires us to name what currently is - and hold onto a vision for how it could be better.

So here’s my Monday eve prompt.
What has made accountability feel scary? What would more accountability make possible - for you, your relationships, your team?
